Inter-campus agreements: The Associated Colleges of the Twin Cities (ACTC) is a partnership with Augsburg College, the College of St. Catherine, Hamline University, Macalester College and the University of St. Thomas. The partnership allows students to register for courses at the other colleges, and collaborative majors are offered through the partnership.
Honors program: The Honors Program, for the College's most academically distinguished students, offers a cohort model of interdisciplinary courses and "signature activities" which provide unique opportunities for academic, cultural, social, and intellectual enrichment.
Independent study: Many departments offer independent study opportunities in upper division courses and in some lower division courses.
Non-traditional/adult education programs: Through Augsburg for Adults, adult students can earn a college degree, complete a second major, or pursue a personal interest or skill on a convenient alternate-weekend and evening schedule. The College also offers credit and non-credit courses through its continuing education program.
Distance learning: Some blended courses are available.
International study opportunities
Augsburg's nationally-awarded Center for Global Education has permanent sites and resident adjunct faculty in Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Namibia, offering both semester- and year-long programs. Through Augsburg's International Partners program, Augsburg students can study in the English language at partner schools in Norway and Germany, with their credits automatically applying to graduation requirements. Each year a number of Augsburg faculty also lead courses around the world. Augsburg is a founding member of the Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs (HECUA) offering study programs in Europe and Latin America.

College services and facilities
On-campus housing: Students choose from a variety of living arrangements on campus. First-year students live in a comfortable, high-rise residence hall, while upperclassmen can choose apartments, townhouses, or suites, all offering 24-hour security. Some underground parking is available.
Fitness/recreation facilities: Augsburg offers a double-rink ice arena, an athletic field with artificial turf and an air-supported dome for year-round use, a fitness center/weight room, and tennis courts.
Technology: Students have access to 260 public computers in classrooms and labs available for all students to use. A campus-wide network provides access to AugNet online services as well as support for printing and Internet access. All residence hall rooms have free cable and Internet access.
Internships: More than 60% of Augsburg students complete at least one internship during college, taking advantage of the many resources with business, government, and nonprofit organizations in the Twin Cities. The Center for Service, Work, and Learning helps students find the right match; many internships can earn academic credit with faculty supervision and many lead to job offers after graduation.
Career services: The Center for Service, Work and Learning is committed to the concept of career planning as a developmental process that parallels a student's academic experience. To assist students while they are at Augsburg and for our alumni, CSWL offers job recruitment on campus, job/internship fairs, career and graduate school planning assistance, e-recruiting assistance, international internships/working abroad, specific career resources, resume and interview coaching, and volunteering resources.
Counseling and guidance services: Counselors at the Center for Counseling and Health Promotion provide individual counseling, group counseling, psychological testing, assessment and referral, workshops, and consultation and outreach. Students can also seek confidential help with personal issues. A wide spectrum of activities and events also offers assistance in adapting new behaviors and healthier lifestyles. Learning Disabilities Services: The Center for Learning and Adaptive Student Services (CLASS) provides services and accommodations to students with learning, attentional, psychiatric, or other cognitive disabilities. The mission of CLASS is to assist academically qualified students with disabilities to reach their individual potential, to promote their independence, and to ensure their access to the educational experience at Augsburg College.

Scholastic aptitude test: 11% of first-year students submitted the SAT as part of their applications. The middle 50% range of their SAT Math scores was 500-600. The middle 50% range of their SAT Verbal scores was 520-630.
American college test: 98% of first-year students presented the ACT as part of their applications. The middle 50% of enrolled students had ACT composite scores between 20 and 26.

High school preparation: A college preparatory curriculum is recommended for all applicants.
Advanced placement credit: Advanced placement is granted to students with scores of 3, 4, or 5 on the CEEB Advanced Placement program tests. Additional credit or placement is at the discretion of the department. Credit also may be granted through Augsburg's Assessment of Previous Learning (APL) Program. The APL Program includes assessments through the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP), the Credit Assessment Program (CAP), and departmental comprehensive exams.
Transfer process (deadlines and materials): May 1 priority deadline for fall semester; December 1 for spring semester, with rolling admission following. Transfer students must submit an application, essay, two letters of academic recommendation (if the GPA is less than 3.0), and transcripts from each college, university, or vocational-technical institution attended. Students who have completed less than one year of college-level work must also submit an official copy of their high school transcript and the result of either the ACT or SAT exam
Transfer criteria (credits, GPA): No more than 96 quarter credits (64 semester credits) may be transferred; a minimum GPA of 2.0 is required.
