Vik is the President of Uppal Enterprises, a real estate development, management and investment company. As president, Vik is responsible for overseeing all of the day-to-day operations of the company. This young entrepreneur started Uppal Enterprises five years ago with his business partner and father, Sohan Uppal, a Fortune 500 executive. In 2006, Uppal Enterprises completed over twenty five million dollars of real estate development and has accomplished some very significant projects in the company’s five-year history.
Vik’s diverse efforts have been recognized with acclaim and accolades that include:
- 2007 Emerging Business Leader by Twin Cities Business
- 2006 Minority Business Award by Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal
- 2006 Cornet Global Real Estate Award
- 2005 Innovator of the Year by Finance and Commerce
Vik is on the board of several non-profit organizations; he also has his family’s personal foundation, Aid India, which builds homes and creates educational opportunities in India.
As a University of St. Thomas alumnus, Vik is in the process of setting up a scholarship program that will offer funding to business students and apprenticeship opportunities to work with Vik. It is his business savvy, passion for excellence, and the lessons he learns from his father that give him the ability to inspire others to explore, embrace and execute the keys to success.
