Poster Session

Posters will be on display from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Upon arrival at the Capitol, please check-in with one of the members of the Organizing Committee. You will receive a nametag upon arrival. A committee member will be available to assist you in setting up. Your poster must be fully mounted on its easel by 10:45 a.m. and you should remain with your poster until 1 p.m.

Dress

We want everyone to look professional, but not uncomfortable or formal. No jeans, tennis shoes, or baseball caps.

Backpacks and stuff

Please do not bring books or other belongings into the Capitol. There is no place to store them. Keep purses and valuables with you or do not bring them at all. Turn off your cell phone!

Photography

During the poster session, as your hometown legislator comes by, ask if you may have your picture taken with him/her. Then flag down one of the photographers, who will introduce themselves to you at the beginning of the day. Help the photographers out by wearing a nametag that we provide. You are welcome to bring your own camera.

Parking

Plan to arrive at the Capitol before 10 a.m. The easiest parking is on the Orange level of the parking ramp behind the Centennial Office Building.

Bring about $5 — in quarters — for the meters: From there, you can enter the Capitol tunnel system from the Judicial building, which is just across the street from the Centennial ramp, or walk outside and enter the front steps of the Capitol building. More information about the Capitol

Lunch

Immediately following the poster session, please join us for lunch. Ideally, most of us will be able to "eat and chat." Mentors and advisors should attend as well.

Cost

Included in your registration fee.
