Transfer Days
Each year, representatives from Minnesota's private colleges and universities travel to community colleges throughout the state to talk to students interested in transferring to a Minnesota private college or university. Minnesota Private College Week
This free, week-long introduction to the 17 colleges and universities of the Minnesota Private College Council encourages students to explore their college options with campus tours and general information sessions offered at each campus. Day at the Capitol 2008
Minnesota private college and university financial aid supporters went to the Capitol to advocate for student financial aid, specifically the Minnesota State Grant Program in February, March and April. Participants learn how to become effective citizen lobbyists and urge their hometown legislators to support need-based aid for Minnesota students. | More information about Day at the Capitol
Counselor Breakfast
Counselors from Minnesota high schools who help students with college decisions were invited to a breakfast Mar. 25 at the Northland Inn in Brooklyn Center to learn about our 17 private colleges and universities. | More about the Counselor breakfast
Job and Internship Fair
Employers and students from the 17 institutions of the Minnesota Private College Council met and interviewed at this annual event on February 19-21 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Students attend for free but must register beforehand with their schools' career services department. More information about the Job and Internship Fair The next fair is planned for Feb. 17-18, 2009.
