This free, week-long introduction to the 17 colleges and universities of the Minnesota Private College Council encourages students to explore their college options with campus tours and general information sessions offered twice daily at each campus. With two sessions a day, from 9:30 a.m.–11:45 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.–4:15 p.m., it's easy for students and their families to visit two colleges per day or several during the week.

Top Five Reasons to Participate in Minnesota Private College Week

Unique chance to test the "gut factor" and discover a school that fits
Campus tours and information sessions give students just enough information to get started and decide which schools to revisit
Students and parents hear from students, faculty and staff about what makes each campus unique
The week gives mom and/or dad the chance to spend precious time with their student
Earn application fee* waivers — When students collect four or more stamps during the week, the passport may be redeemed for four application fee waivers, allowing students to apply to any of the participating colleges and universities without paying the usual fee.

Tips for the Week

Pick up a passport at the first campus you visit, keep it with you all week and collect a stamp (or two) at each school you visit. Collect four or more stamps in your passport and redeem it for four application fee* waivers, good at any participating college or university. That's correct... apply to school for FREE!

Because the College of St. Scholastica, Concordia College and Saint Mary's University of Minnesota are a longer distance away from some of our other campuses you might want to visit, those schools count for two stamps.
You must attend a full morning (9:30 a.m.–11:45 a.m.) or afternoon (2:00 p.m.–4:15 p.m.) campus tour and information session to have your passport stamped. Rain or shine tours will go out. If the weather looks threatening, pack an umbrella.
Passports with fewer than four stamps cannot be redeemed for fee waivers.
