Comments from previous MPCW events
"Our son is going to be a junior next year and we are all so glad that we started this process this year. It really showed him what he has to do this next year, especially his grades in certain school subjects and with AP tests. It also gave us a better idea of what we need to do to start preparing."
—Mookie, Minnetonka
"We found this event very helpful for a brief look at possible college choices. The events were well organized, and each was unique. The student tour guides at each site were enthusiastic ambassadors for their respective colleges and helped give our daughter some insight into student life."
—JoAnn, Duluth
"(Attending Minnesota Private College Week) was a great way to compare colleges and get three visits done in one week."
—Deb, Woodbury
"I liked that each campus had their own format as I feel it showed the school's personalities. It is a wonderful overview and introduction to schools. I wish we had done it the summer after the sophomore year instead of after junior year!"
—Sara, Hopkins
"It was helpful to have this week with the open house option. It was a good incentive to get my daughter looking at colleges and understand more about what the college search involves, without the pressure of making an individual appointment."
—Michelle, Minneapolis
"This was a very valuable experience for my daughter and I. Most important is it got us talking about what she is really looking for. Thanks for getting our conversation started. We will be back for more visits!"
—Cindy, Moorhead
"Having my oldest son begin the college search process was somewhat
overwhelming. I had overheard soccer moms talking about Minnesota Private College
Week and went home and Google searched. What a fabulous idea! We visited four
colleges that week without having to make any appointments! Each school’s
program we attended was very organized, the representatives at the schools were
very approachable, and it was easy to weigh out the pros and cons of each
school. For me, the best part of the week was spending quality time with my son
and having the opportunity to have some in-depth discussions about his future
college plans."
