Banking regulations related to international trade are the focus of Brown’s current scholarship.

Brown worked on securities transactions (including both debt and equity offerings) having an aggregate value of over $30 billion. Her clients included, among others, major commercial and investment banks, internet service providers, retailers, automotive suppliers, and energy suppliers, and her clients came from the United Kingdom, Italy, Portugal, Turkey and Japan. Her work internationally involved a wide range of industries, including energy and telecommunications firms, in a variety of countries, including Russia, Azerbaijan, Mexico, Canada and Brazil.

Gulliver’s primary research interests are globalization, international business and post-secondary business education. She has recently given lectures on immigration policy and the energy crisis.

Gulliver managed Metro State’s graduate and undergraduate program with Tamkang University and Taiwan for 6 years. In 1999, she became the director of the Master of International Management Program at the University of St. Thomas. Prior to going into academics, she worked for 10 years as an economist. She has taught in China, Taiwan, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and Poland.
