• Contribute more than $1.2 billion in insitutional expenditures and outlays.
• Employ 12,400 faculty and staff and 11,800 student workers.
• Contribute to Minnesota's tax base by:
  • Supplying more than $22.8 million in state payroll taxes based on payroll expenditures of more than $707 million.
  • Paying more than $1.2 million to local governments through taxes, fees and assessments.
  • Paying nearly $5.3 million for municipal services and more than $200,000 in voluntary contributions to local governments.
• Spur local economic markets with $138.5 million in construction expenditures.
• Enroll more than one-third of Minnesota residents going to colleges and 49 percent of students from other countries choosing college in Minneosta
• Attract as many international students as the U of M and more students from other states than do either MnSCU’s four-year schools or the U of M.
• Award one-third of all baccalaureate degrees in Minnesota.
