Financial aid officers at each college and university award this scholarship directly to students who meet the criteria listed below. Contact the office on your campus if you feel you would qualify.

Years supporting the Fund: 22

The awards are intended to launch the academic careers of promising new first-generation college students from families with incomes under $50,000 annually. The scholarships are a resource for recruiting low- and modest-income students whose families might not otherwise be able to choose a private college.

Eligibility criteria

  • Demonstrate financial need, income under $50,000 annually
  • U.S. citizen
  • First generation (neither parent completed college)
  • History of and continuing involvement in school and/or community activities
  • Freshman or sophomore
  • Minimum grade point average of 2.5

Students are expected to submit a report demonstrating continuing involvement in campus and/or community activities.
