Students — meet with your legislators at the State Capitol to advocate for the Minnesota State Grant program! This program provides critical support to over 80,000 Minnesotans — that’s one in three undergraduates at public and private colleges.

2020 Day at the Capitol dates:

  • Wednesday, February 26: Augsburg, Macalester, St. Scholastica
  • Tuesday, March 10: Gustavus, Hamline, Saint Benedict, Saint John’s, St. Catherine
  • Thursday, March 26: Bethany Lutheran, Bethel, Concordia College, Concordia University, Saint Mary’s
  • Wednesday, April 15: St. Olaf, St. Thomas

What happens at Day at the Capitol?

You'll l receive a policy and lobbying briefing including comments from House and Senate members who represent your campus. Then you'll meet with legislators and attend a Q&A session. The Minnesota Private College Council provides training and materials and makes legislative appointments for participants.
