April 2019

Students and parents can now register for our annual free visit event. These introductory campus tours and informational meetings often serve as a first step to help students discover just what their looking for in a college — especially if they’re early in the college search.
Sessions begin at 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. June 24 through June 28 and are two hours and 30 minutes in length — except for the joint sessions held by the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University, which run three hours instead. Also, please note that for the first time this year a few colleges will only host one session a day; this group includes Bethany Lutheran College, St. Catherine University and the College of Saint Benedict/Saint John's University. View the full visit session schedule.
Encourage students to visit more than one college. Each year we survey students and parents who attended, and nearly half say that they wished they had gone on more visits. Only two percent felt they had taken too many.Minnesota Private College Week is designed to make it easier to visit multiple campuses in a day or a week.
For those families with questions about our event, please direct them to our frequently asked questions page on how to make the most their visit.
For those families who may not have access to a car, our page on alternative transportation options is a good starting point on how to get to the communities where our colleges are located.
Register to bring a group of students
Registering to bring a group of students to Minnesota Private College Week is now easier (and less time-consuming). The simplified online registration form now only asks for student names, grad years and high school names; you can copy/paste that directly into our form. Plus you don’t need to go through the effort of creating an account. Register to bring a group of students.
Because we want your visit go as smoothly as possible for both you and your students, please read our group visit guidelines before registering to bring students to campus.
Or register to come without students
If you or your fellow counselors want to participate in Minnesota Private College Week without students, you are welcome to do that as well. Not only is it an excellent way for you to learn more about our colleges, but it’s also helps your learn what students can expect when they sign up for visits during our event. Register to come without students.
