Quick fact: Debt levels similar for publics and nonprofits
The median cumulative debt for Minnesota bachelor’s degree recipients who borrowed from all sectors was $27,296 in 2014, according to the Cumulative Student Loan Debt in Minnesota 2012-2014 report from the Minnesota Office of Higher Education. (This is the most recent report on debt levels at the time of this posting.) Note that 27% of all 2014 nonprofit graduates and 31% of public sector graduates have no debt.
