Private College Scholars Showcase
The Private College Scholars Showcase promotes the important role that undergraduate research plays in students’ educational and professional development at our member institutions. Each member institution is invited to identify two undergraduate projects to include in the showcase. The results are included in an abstract booklet that is shared with policymakers, among others. We seek opportunities for students to discuss their efforts in person. The 2017 Scholars Showcase was held on Feb. 15 in St. Paul. Learn more about poster guidelines.
Each institution has a lead contact for the Private College Scholars Showcase. This contact determines the two undergraduate research projects from each institution that will be included. The nature of the selection process is the jurisdiction of the individual institutions. All academic disciplines are welcome; research efforts that have a clear link to policy or society are encouraged. Submissions of information about the research including abstract text are due by early winter.
Student researchers will be contacted as the abstract booklet is prepared and again about how they can share news of the showcase with external audiences, this will include asking them if they have a poster prepared that they could share. The Council will then be in touch with students and campus contacts as possible venues for students to share their undergraduate research are identified. View examples of past abstracts:
